Anti-Inflammatory Pumpkin Spice Latte

Enjoy this creamy latte with the added health benefit of a spice called turmeric.  Turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and it is high in other beneficial nutrients.   Choose this alternative over an expensive cafe purchased latte that is high in calories and artificial ingredients.


  •  3/4 cup fresh brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup milk or non-dairy milk
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin purée (canned pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Dash of ground nutmeg
  • Dash of ground cloves
  • Dash of ground ginger
  • Dash of ground cinnamon
  • additional 1/2 cup of milk or non-dairy milk (optional, see below)**


  • Gently heat the milk in a saucepan
  • Brew your coffee
  • Place all ingredients in a high speed blender (blender must be heat safe for blending hot liquids)
  • Pour into a large mug

**Optional if you have a hand held milk frother

Heat an additional 1/2 cup of milk or non-dairy milk and whip with frother, pour over latte and sprinkle some cinnamon.
